Create New User
To create a new user in the Auth Service, select the Add New User button from the top right of the user dashboard.
Users should be created in the Azure service prior to being added in Auth Service.
Enter the users first name, last name and email address.
General Permissions
The following permissions can now be selected.
Granting User Admin rights allows the created user to add / edit users within Auth Service.
The single application toggle grants access rights to each application (Rail BI, Datastore, SICA, SISA).
Select a group for the created user to be part of, and which role they are to be assigned.
Rail BI Permissions
The following permissions are for Rail BI only. This section will only appear if Rail BI access has been selected.
These permissions are granted based on the group assigned in the General Permissions section.
Additional permissions can be assigned on an individual basis if required.
The Routes dropdown allows a user to be assigned to single or multiple routes. Regions allows the user to be assigned specific regions.
Datastore / SICA / SISA Permissions
The following permissions are for Datastore / SICA / SISA only. This section will only appear if the relevant access has been selected.
Click on the Select Use Groups dropdown and grant the required level of access. Multiple can be selected for each application, however each user requires a minimum of Viewer level of access to be able to see any data.
Datastore Asset Type Permissions
This section grants the user read / write access to specific asset types.
Select the asset types to grant read access to, followed by the asset types to grant write access.
Finalise User Creation
Once the user is ready to be created, click Save User at the top of the user creation screen.
Onboarding Emails
Once a user has been created, they will automatically start receiving onboarding emails for the services selected.
Users can receive a maximum of one per application:
- Rail BI Viewer
- Rail BI Editor
- SICA Viewer
- SICA Editor
- DataStore Viewer
- DataStore Editor
