Introduction to SISA

What Is SISA?

Supervisory Independent Safety Assessments (SISA) are a maintenance-led assessment process used by Network Rail to evaluate the effectiveness of maintenance activities on assets.

The SISA process is carried out by Section Managers, who inspect assets to identify faults, confirm that previously reported defects have been rectified, and provide assurance that maintenance standards are being achieved.

SISA is also referred to as Standard Code 10028.
